Hello! I’m Mahreen. I’m a 22-year-old Pakistani born and raised in the UAE. I’m a student by day and a podcaster by night.
I recall growing up feeling connected to Pakistani culture, UAE culture, and the many cultures within the Emirates as well. Witnessing and embracing these mixtures of traditions, I became ever so curious about the way our society shapes who we are and why society is the way it is. I also grew up seeing negativity surrounding Pakistan & the Middle East that was quite frankly inaccurate and ignorant. So, I wanted to have deeper and more frequent conversations about our cultures. Karak with Mahreen was then born
